"Kethuvim...includes a variety of ancient texts, including the Psalms, Proverbs, and the historical Book of Ezra. The Book of Job focuses on man’s relationship to God and questions of good versus evil. Kethuvim also includes five books related to holidays—Esther, Ruth, The Song of Songs, Ecclesiastes, and Lamentations—that are known as megillot. Kethuvim is also called Hagiographa." (JPS)
