Etymology

  • In Yiddish dictionaries, the word is given מסור móser, plural מסורים mósrim 'informer.' It's origins are Hebrew. In Modern Hebrew, however, the word is written מוֹ‏סֵר mosér (see Hebrew Wikipedia, entry: [מוסר [הלכה)
